This lesson offers students the opportunity to examine their previous collaborative experiences in light of what they have learned, to look at their own role within a group, and how they can more effectively collaborate!

What is bias in media, and how can we recognize it in what we see and hear? Grade 6 students are increasingly exposed to media that may be misleading or shaped by particular viewpoints. This lesson introduces a clear definition of bias, explores common types of bias found in media, and provides students with opportunities to analyze real examples to identify and understand how bias is communicated.
